Agsafe
PREMISES ACCREDITATION
Agsafe implements a co-regulatory accreditation program for personnel accreditation (Training) and premises accreditation. The Agsafe accreditation program has now been operating for more than ten years and is an established and effective compliance scheme that ensures personnel and premises safely transport, store, handle and provide appropriate advice from point of manufacture to point of sale.
Premises accreditation is a program whereby Agsafe monitors premises for compliance against the criteria outlined in the Agsafe Code of Practice for the Safe Transport, Handling and Storage for Agricultural and Veterinary Chemicals. The Code of Practice brings together relevant detail of regulatory obligation and safety management requirements.
Based upon industry consultation conducted in 1999, premises accreditation was amended to cover all locations, from point of manufacture through to point of sale, who store any quantity of agricultural and veterinary chemicals.
